COMMUNITY & REVIEW STANDARDS

Honest experiences.
Accountable decisions.

Platform operating policy · October 14, 2026. Review targets depend on staffing and are not a guaranteed service level.

Ratings and participation

One editable website review per account. Describe a specific experience, disclose conflicts of interest, and avoid personal data, threats, harassment, impersonation and fabricated claims. Stars, legitimacy votes and helpfulness votes are opinions. They do not establish legal compliance or safety. Owners cannot rate their own websites.

Challenges and manual review

Account holders can challenge a website claim or a review with a specific explanation and public evidence. Our target is an initial human review within 24–48 hours. A challenge alone never removes a badge, stars or a review. Reports may be dismissed, investigated further or upheld with a recorded reason. Anonymous traffic and repeated coordinated votes are not independent evidence.

Seven-day remediation

After reviewing evidence, an administrator may start a seven-day remediation window. The owner is notified in the workspace; email delivery depends on configured SMTP. The decision and deadline are retained. A missed deadline prompts follow-up; suspension or revocation requires an administrator decision with a reason. Serious or ongoing harm may justify an earlier suspension after review.

Appeals and restoration

Use the report form to identify the case, provide a correction and supporting evidence, or appeal a moderation decision. Review history is retained. Corrected claims can be reconsidered, and a hidden review can be restored. Public certificate history remains visible after suspension, expiry or revocation.

Evidence and regulations

Automated observations, owner declarations and community opinions are labeled separately. A hosting provider’s certification is not certification of its customers. Statements about GDPR, the EU AI Act, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA or PCI DSS require a defined scope and applicable evidence; TrustCertia does not issue those certifications. Regulatory complaints requiring legal analysis are escalated rather than decided by a star score.
