Security and assurance boundaries

Understand the implementation and its production requirements.

Verified checks, owner statements, and community opinions have distinct assurance levels. Preserve those labels in every integration.

Current controls

Passwords are salted and hashed. Session tokens are random, hashed at rest, HttpOnly, and SameSite. Mutation routes validate inputs and enforce same-origin requests. Scanner requests reject private/reserved ranges and pin resolved addresses.

Evidence strength

The original versioned formula separates ownership, weighted observations, and freshness. Required failures and inactive status gate the score. Owner disclosures and community sentiment never add points. The formula is not a guarantee or a legally certified standard.

Local versus production

The default local store uses serial atomic file transactions and is intended for one persistent Node process. Managed databases, durable worker queues, protected signing keys, backups, email, HTTPS, monitoring, and operational review are production responsibilities.

Reporting

Use the concern form for suspicious claims. Use the configured operator contact for security reports. Avoid sending passwords, tokens, or regulated data through public reviews.

EXAMPLE
Verified ≠ compliant
Self-attested ≠ independently verified
Signed ≠ safe
Community opinion ≠ factual assurance
